Suchitra Steven Samuel, editor of Supplements, and Myrlle Bantilan Libo-on, staff reporter of Khaleej Times, won the Best English Coverage Award while Aarti Jhurani of the Weekend bagged the Best English Article Award.
Khaleej Times did it again by winning two prestigious categories at the Annual Media Awards Tuesday night at Global Village, Dubai’s leading family entertainment and cultural destination.
The categories won are for Best English Coverage and Best English Article. No other writers from its English competitors won.
Suchitra Steven Samuel, editor of Supplements, and Myrlle Bantilan Libo-on, staff reporter ofKhaleej Times, won the Best English Coverage Award while Aarti Jhurani of the Weekend bagged the Best English Article Award of the 18th edition of Global Village Annual Media Awards.
His Highness Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum handed the awards to the Global Village awardees.

In February this year, Khaleej Times, part of Galadari Brothers Group of Companies, swept five awards at the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2014 Journalism and Photography Awards.
Besides prizes in four individual categories, the paper also won the best editorial coverage, which is a tribute to the reporters, editors, designers and photojournalists whose work collectively contributed to make Khaleej Times the winning team.
Khaleej Times was also the official media partner of Global Village.
